Admission is only possible for the winter semester. Applications must be submitted online within this application period. All application documents must be uploaded completely to the application portal by the end of this period. In addition, the confirmation letter must be received by the Application and Admissions Office via e-mail by March 1. If you have applied in due form and time, you will receive your admission or rejection notification by mail at the end of July/beginning of August. If you have been accepted, we will do our best to inform you before you receive your admission letter. We kindly ask you to refrain from any further inquiries.
Important note for DAAD scholarship applicants
A DAAD scholarship does not guarantee admission to the Master of International Relations. DAAD scholarship holders must adhere to the regular application deadlines and the application process of our program.
Important note for all foreign applicants
The application process is identical for all applicants, regardless of their country of origin. Please do not apply via Uni-Assist, but only through our online application website! There is a separate quota for foreign students, which is based on the final grade or current average grade. Foreign students in this sense are non-EU and non-EEA citizens who have not acquired their Master's entrance qualification (i.e. the BA) in Germany. This is regulated in §8 para. 3 of the General Admission Regulations for Master's degree programs outside the teaching profession. Therefore, please ensure that your certificate or transcript of records shows a (current) average grade.
